Simous Home Appliance Technology Co.,Ltd. is a subsidiary of Laygrand Group, which was founded by Steven Ku, a Chinese American, in Los Angeles in the 1980s. With a long history and excellent reputation, it has set up branches in the United States, mainland China, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand and so on. Kitchen appliances, wine, food, beverage, ceramics, wood crafts and other fields.

The group focuses on the research and development of professional boutique coffee machines, coffee appliances, coffee beans and other related products, and is committed to the promotion of coffee culture, with a professional research and development team and laboratories in the United States.

In 2005, the group invited Brian Gross, Die Engineering Manager from WIK, Germany, to jointly develop and produce professional coffee appliances.

In 2008, the group teamed up with George Holder of the American Fine Coffee Association to explore how to improve existing coffee appliances to meet the SCAA's Gold Cup standard and consumption habits.
